Today, Australians awoke to the news of that Coldplay couple.
If you’re not aware, during the ‘kiss cam’ segment of their concert Coldplay caught a couple on camera who appeared to be very upset to be shown together, with lead singer Chris Martin quipping, “Either they’re having an affair or they’re just very shy”.
Now, the internet is absolutely abuzz with chatter surrounding the moment, and it got us thinking: what other concerts could something like this happen at?

Most concerts are attended in anonymity, with fans merely playing the role of cheerleaders.
But recently we’ve seen a trend of stars spotlighting their fans during certain segments of their show, as Coldplay does with the kiss cam.
So, we’ve rounded up all the stars who like to share the stage (or should we say screen) and some of the most iconic moments to come from it. 
Beyoncé
Now, we’re going to start off with a semi-brutal one here.
During her song Diva on the Cowboy Carter tour, Beyoncé scans the crowd, playfully pointing to fans as she sings the lyric “she ain’t no diva”.
But for members of the Beyhive, potentially the highest honour you can be bestowed is being chosen to be the one, the only, true “diva” of your concert.
Eventually, when Beyoncé gets to the line “She’s such a diva”, she smiles and proudly points to a member of the crowd who then gets their moment on the big screen.
Brutal to start, maybe, but iconic in the end.

Charli XCX
Just thinking about this segment has the song stuck in our heads!
After a choreographed dance to her song Apple went viral on social media, Charli XCX made the decision to include it in her show.
Now, during the song Apple which is a mainstay on her Brat setlist, the cameras will pan to a member of the audience.
Sometimes it’s a fan and others it’s a celebrity, but all have one thing in common – they know every move to the iconic dance.
Stars such as Gracie Abrams, Amelia Dimoldenberg and Chappell Roan have all been broadcast at the show to perform the dance.
We wanted to pick just one favourite moment to tell you about, but there are two we simply can’t decide between.
One is Australian icon Troye Sivan sneaking out from backstage during his and Charli’s joint Sweat tour in Seattle to perform the dance from the audience.
The other is Charli’s rather (publicly) quiet fiancé, The 1975 drummer George Daniel, stepping up to show off his skills.
He performed the segment during Charli’s Brat tour stop at London’s O2 arena and the singer couldn’t have been more stoked.

“George did the apple dance!!!!” she caption a video of the moment shared to TikTok. 
Sabrina Carpenter
One of me is cute, but what about the fans though?!
Perhaps one of the most well-known audience segments at the moment happens during Sabrina Carpenters performances
Before she sings her hit song Juno, Carpenter performs a segment now known to fans as the ‘Juno arrest’.
While plenty of these are fan focused, Carpenter does tend to focus the Juno arrest on celebrities in the audience, with stars such as Millie Bobby Brown, Margaret Qualley and Salma Hayek.
During the Espresso singer’s recent performance at London’s Hyde Park, her Juno arrest of The Bear actress Ayo Edebiri and Bags singer Clairo went viral for a hilarious stunt performed by the two guests.
Remember how we said this whole ‘putting fans on the jumbotron’ thing has become a trend recently?
Well, Edibiri and Clairo played into that, performing Charli XCX’s Apple dance when the camera panned to them.
But perhaps the most iconic Juno arrest we’ve seen so far has seen none other than Baby Spice Emma Bunton wearing the fluffy pink handcuffs.
“I feel like I might meet my soulmate. And she might be right here,” Carpenter said during the performance, while fans waited patiently to find out who it would be.

“Oh my gosh. You’re kind of, like, spicing up my life a little bit. Wow, really spicing up my life [that] my clothes are falling off. Emma, will you do the honor of being mine forever?”
“Please, please, please arrest me for being a fan!!!” Bunton wrote alongside a video of the moment on Instagram.
“@sabrinacarpenter you were amazing.”
Olivia Rodrigo
How could we ever forget the Guts Cam?
During a section of her most recent tour, Olivia Rodrigo and her Guts cam would pick members of the audience to show their face on screen while Rodrigo shared a quick interaction with them.
As innocent as it may seem, things went horribly wrong right here in Sydney, Australia.
Things started off fine as Rodrigo made various requests, including having best friends and mother-child duos hug on screen, before asking if there were any couples in the audience.
When two attendees’ faces appeared, she remarked, “You guys are so cute! Hey, I have a really cute fun thing to ask, would you guys give us a kiss on the Guts Cam?”
She very quickly came to regret that question.
The mortification of the concertgoers on screen was immediate, with the male fan mouthing, ‘She’s my sister!’
“She’s your sister? Oh s—! Oh s—!” Rodrigo yelled as the crowd erupted in laughter.
“Never mind, never mind, scrap that. This is the first time! I’m actually surprised that that hasn’t happened.
“Wow, I feel really bad now, we are going to forget that ever happened!”
The brother in question, Tom Santo, shared the moment on TikTok with the text, “Olivia Rodrigo asking my sister and I to kiss was not on my 2024 bingo card.”
By the next day, the Drivers License singer had responded to the video, writing, “I AM SO SORRY.”

Best photos of celebrities spotted at other stars’ concerts
Harry Styles
Now this one isn’t exactly a segment, but it is an adorable moment that we just had to include.
During his Love On Tour shows, Harry Styles became known to take some time and interact with the fans in the pit who had brought signs along.
During his concert in Wisconsin, he spotted 23-year-old McKinly McConnell who held up a sign that read, “My mom is in section 201. Help me come out”.
So, Styles did exactly that. 
“What would you like to tell your mother?” he asked McConnell as he knelt down in front of her at the edge of the stage.
“I can tell her if you’d like.”
McConnell had a quick moment of nerves, responding, “Okay, there’s a lot of people,” which Styles handled with his signature cheeky behavior.
”There is a lot of people. Did you not know? Did you think this through?” He joked.
“OK, do you want to tell her, or should I tell her I can tell her, yeah, no problem.”
Then, Styles skipped over the the other side of the stage as the video team found McConnell’s mum, named Lisa, in the audience and broadcast her onto the screens.
”Lisa, she’s gay!” He exclaimed as the stadium erupted in cheers.
Coldplay
Coldplay’s kiss cam is usually a heartwarming part of their show, but this time it ended in disaster for one pair.
When the camera panned to a man and woman who appeared to be perfectly loved-up, things quickly went south when the duo realised what was happening.

At first they had their arms wrapped around one another, swaying to the music as lead singer Chris Martin mused, “Look at these two.”
But, as soon as they noticed what was going on, the pair very quickly separated.
As the woman turned her back to the camera and the man ducked below the railing, Martin could be heard saying, “Oh, what?”
“Either they’re having an affair or they’re just very shy,” he added.
In an additional video taken right after the incident, Martin could be heard saying, “Holy s–t. I hope we didn’t do something bad.”
Multiple US media publications, including the New York Post and Page Six, have identified the couple as co-workers – Astronomer CEO Andy Byron and the firm’s chief human resources officer, Kristin Cabot.
At the time of publishing, neither party have confirmed their appearance at the concert and 9Honey is not suggesting any allegations of an affair are true.
