Bozoma Saint John pointed to the “running around” Kyle Richards was doing while discussing her castmate’s annoyance with the photos that surfaced of her estranged husband, Mauricio Umansky, and his now-ex-flame, Nikita Kahn, after this week’s episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
As Garcelle Beauvais, 58, seemingly suggested that Mauricio, 54, was retaliating against the many photos of Kyle, 56, and her rumored flame, Morgan Wade, 30, Sutton Stracke, 53, admitted to thinking Kyle was holding out hope for a reconciliation as Kyle shared her childrens’ reactions to Mau’s pics with Nikita.
“Kyle was so upset with the Mau outside … [but] I can’t imagine that he was happy with her running around,” Boz reasoned on the February 25 episode of the RHOBH: After Show. “People are taking photos of everyone, so I can’t imagine that either one of them [was] happy with that.”
Seemingly agreeing with Boz’s suspicions about Kyle’s behavior potentially prompting Mauricio to go public with Nikita, Garcelle asked, “Did Mau do it as retaliation because of all the images he’s seen?”
Looking back at Kyle’s reaction, Boz went on to wonder if she and Mauricio were “operating honestly.”
“Because if he was free to do what he wants, then he could do that. But if he’s not free to do that, then I can see where there’s a problem because, oh, it’s embarrassing to your wife or your estranged wife and your children. So to me, it’s like, he is not free to do that and everyone should just admit that,” she stated.
Meanwhile, according to Dorit Kemsley, 48, she believed Kyle and Mauricio were in a “comfortable place.” But at the same time, it appeared to her that Kyle was “very much in limbo” while Mauricio was “doing what they agreed to do.”
“Kudos to Kyle that when she’s asked, ‘How does it feel when you see Mau kissing this one or holding this one’s hand,’ she’s honest and she says, ‘It hurts.’”
Other cast members also felt that Kyle was in a different place than Mauricio.
“During the season, she would say, ‘Oh, he FaceTimed me and we said I love you at the end of the call.’ And I think that is all, like, she wanted to sort of walk the line of, ‘Maybe we’ll get back together,’” suspected Garcelle. Jennifer Tilly, 66, agreed that it seemed that Kyle still felt she and Mauricio “were a couple.”
Sutton Stracke, 53, however, was more blunt.
”They’re not getting back together,” she declared. “I think that Kyle holds onto hope that they will get back together, but I don’t know if she knows whether or not she wants to get back together. I think she wants the option.”
Regardless of who was thinking what about their separation, Kyle was understandably upset by the photos of Mauricio kissing Nikita in an airport in Greece, and her co-stars were on the same page.
“I didn’t like it and I’m not married to him,” Garcelle admitted. “Nobody wants to see that. Even if you don’t want him back, you’re separated, he’s still FaceTiming and calling her. It almost feels like it was cheating. I know he wasn’t, with those photos, but it felt like it was a betrayal.”
“It made me feel sick,” agreed Dorit. “Mau could exercise a little bit more discretion out of respect for his relationship with Kyle and his children.”
In her own segment of the RHOBH: After Show, Kyle explained her annoyance with the images of Mauricio and Nikita, as well as the other women he’s been seen with.
“[It] is annoying … [but] I wasn’t crying about it like some of the rumors said,” she shared. “This is a lot of years that we’ve spent together, so obviously seeing these photos is strange for me.”
It was also strange for their three daughters, Alexia Umansky, 28, Sophia Umansky, 25, and Portia Umansky, 16.
“My daughters are seeing that, so it’s not just me. I know that’s weird for them. They’ve only seen their mother and father together. That’s strange for them. That doesn’t feel good to them,” she noted. “They, of course, were upset by seeing that picture. Of course, they were. Sometimes they get more upset, even, than I do.”
“It’s another reminder of, we need to move forward. We need to do something and make decisions now,” Kyle continued. “It doesn’t bring me happiness to say my marriage didn’t work out and I’m moving on, but I’m happy I’m in a place where I can at least say, ‘Okay, we should have these conversations. They’re not easy to have, but decisions need to be made.’”
