Fans may finally know who Sadie Sink is playing in the MCU! The latest Spider-Man: Brand New Day rumor may reveal the actress’ mystery role.
Ever since it was announced that Sadie Sink would be joining the MCU in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, the internet has been absolutely on fire with speculation about what her role would be. The rumor mill has thrown out dozens of suggestions. From Gwen Stacy, to Firestar, to even playing a young version of the heroine Jean Grey.
However, it seems as though no rumor so far has even gotten close. The latest report, stemming from Demet Koc at Nexus Point News, reveals that the codename for Sadie Sink’s character is “Anabelle Adams”. The scooper added a question mark at the end, suggesting that the “codename” may very much be the actual name for the character she’s playing in Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
Who Is Anabelle Adams?
For those unaware, Anabelle Adams is a rather obscure character from the Scarlet Spider books of the early 2010s. She’s a singer and bartender who falls in love with Kaine Parker, a clone of Peter Parker forced to find a new identity for himself. Not only does this character match the archetype that Sadie Sink usually plays, but it also lines up with the story of Spider-Man: Brand New Day given “Peter Parker” is no longer an entity in the MCU.
It would also make sense for Marvel to give Peter Parker a new love interest in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. MJ doesn’t know he exists, and going back to Gwen Stacy would feel like treading old ground. Even if Sadie Sink’s role isn’t literally Anabelle Adams, it’s likely that she’ll be playing some sort of love interest for the hero in the MCU.
