Brandon Sanderson convention Dragonsteel Nexus 2025 has announced its first featured guests, and they include four well-known figures in the fantasy space, including two bestselling authors certain to draw crowds. Organized by the author’s company, Dragonsteel Entertainment, the annual event celebrates Sanderson’s books and has been doing so since its inception in 2021 (when it was called Dragonsteel).
Naturally, a convention dedicated to Sanderson’s works attracts many diehard sci-fi and fantasy fans. And they’ll be happy to learn that four great guests have joined the lineup for the 2025 iteration. In an Instagram post, authors Tomi Adeyemi and Pierce Brown were revealed as two of the first four featured guests announced for the upcoming event.
Artist Dan Dos Santos and content creator Ayman Chaudhary round out the announcement, ensuring that a range of creatives will be present. Dragonsteel Nexus 2025 will take place from December 4-6 at the Salt Palace Convention Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. It will feature panels, meetups, workshops, an exhibitor hall, and more for attendees to enjoy.
What Dragonsteel Nexus 2025’s Guests Are Known For
The two authors on the guest list for Dragonsteel Nexus 2025 are known for their bestselling fantasy and sci-fi books. Tomi Adeyemi penned the Legacy of Orisha series, which began with the impressive Children of Blood and Bone back in 2018. Paramount is in the process of turning the bestselling fantasy book into a film with a star-studded cast.
Meanwhile, Pierce Brown is known for the Red Rising saga, which consists of six books with a seventh — Red God — forthcoming. The sci-fi series is well-known and -loved, and Dragonsteel Nexus 2025 could give Brown the opportunity to talk more about Red Rising book 7.
Dan Dos Santos is an artist whose work can be found across mediums, including comic books, trading cards, films, video games, bestselling books, and more. He has created illustrations for Sanderson’s books, including the cover of Warbreaker. His work has also appeared in editions of books by Patrick Rothfuss and Robert Jordan.
Finally, Ayman Chaudhary is a book content creator @aymansbooks on Instagram and TikTok. Given the growth of Bookstagram and BookTok, having creators from these platforms present at the convention is a smart move.
The post announcing the featured guests confirmed that more will be revealed later, but this is a great place to start. The 2025 iteration of the Brandon Sanderson convention already boasts a great lineup, and that could improve as it grows nearer.
