Would Brandon Sklenar be the perfect Batman? The actor reveals his hopes to play the Caped Crusader in the DC Universe’s newest reboot.
The conversation around who should play Batman in the DC Universe reached a fever pitch last week. Following the appearance of the Dark Knight’s shadow in Creature Commandos and the delay of The Batman Part II, fans were convinced that Robert Pattinson’s take on the beloved hero would transition into the main continuity following the most recent reboot.
Sadly, these theories were debunked by Andy Muschietti, who confirmed that Robert Pattinson’s take on the Caped Crusader will be entirely separate from the one being crafted for the new DC Universe. This reignited speculation about who could play Batman in the reboot, with big names being suggested such as Glen Powell, Winston Duke, Jonathan Bailey and, most recently, Brandon Sklenar.
Is Brandon Sklenar Playing Batman?
Brandon Sklenar’s name entered the conversation following fanart being posted showing him as Batman alongside David Corenswet’s Superman. The actor commented on this post, stating that he “Approved” of fans supporting him for the DC Universe role. Sklenar also gained the support of his It Ends With Us co-star Blake Lively to play the Dark Knight in the next reboot.

Of course, it seems that James Gunn has no plans on casting the DC Universe’s Batman anytime soon. The studio co-chair has been clear about not courting actors for roles until the scripts for their projects are finalized. So until the Batman reboot enters production proper, the hopes of Brandon Sklenar may remain simply hopes.
