Captain America: Brave New World is set to be the big-screen debut of Anthony Mackie as the titular Sentinel of Liberty. While details about the project have been kept close to the chest, it seems not even the MCU’s biggest series are immune to leaks. Promo art for the upcoming Marvel movie gives fans a look at Sam Wilson’s newest suit, donning colors similar to Steve Rogers’ original costume.
Given the film was originally set to come out this July before being delayed by the Hollywood strikes, it’s likely new merch and promo art for Captain America: Brave New World will be finding its way to shelves over the next few months. Though given some of the film’s biggest surprises have already been revealed through leaks, Anthony Mackie’s return as Sam Wilson will have to be carried by its quality alone, which shouldn’t be a problem coming off one of the most acclaimed Disney Plus series in the MCU.
What to expect from the Captain America sequel
Details regarding the plot of Captain America: Brave New World are being kept under wraps. Thunderbolt Ross (Harrison Ford) and The Leader (Tim Blake Nelson) are expected to serve as the main villains of the movie, which is currently in production for a February 2025 release.
Julius Onah is directing Captain America: Brave New World, working from a script by Malcolm Spellman and Dalan Musson. The cast of the movie also includes Carl Lumbly as Isaiah Bradley and Shira Haas as Sabra, with Xosha Roquemore on board in an undisclosed role.
