Britney Spears has chosen five-time Oscar nominee Michelle Williams to narrate her upcoming memoir.
Spears will read the introduction to the book, titled The Woman in Me, and Williams will read the rest, according to People magazine.
“This book has been a labour of love and all the emotions that come with it,” Spears said in a statement.

“Reliving everything has been exciting, heart-wrenching, and emotional, to say the least. For those reasons, I will only be reading a small part of my audiobook.
“I am so grateful to the amazing Michelle Williams for reading the rest of it.”
Originally, the Toxic singer’s “brutally honest” autobiography was due out in February but was reportedly delayed amid “legal concerns” from A-List celebrities who were nervous about the content in the book.

The memoir is expected to cover her illustrious career, love life and Hollywood flings, as well as her 13-year conservatorship, which she was released from in November 2021 after a long legal campaign.
Williams said in a statement, “I stand with Britney”.
There were plenty of high-profile actresses vying for the part, according to sources quoted by Page Six, but Spears chose The Greatest Showman and My Weekend with Marilyn star for her “tremendous amount of class and elegance” in the face of her own complex family history.
Williams also went through a very public heartbreak after losing Australian actor Heath Ledger, the father to her daughter Matilda, of an accidental drug overdose in 2008.
The death came just five months after the pair called time on their three-year relationship, which began on the set of the movie Brokeback Mountain.
Meanwhile, Spears has been through a public split this year, after her second husband Sam Asghari filed for divorce.

The couple wed in June last year before going their separate ways in August this year.
Spears has also dealt with her older sons speaking out against her and a pregnancy loss in early 2022.
Publisher of Spear’s memoir Gallery Books says the deeply personal memoir “illuminates the enduring power of music and love — and the importance of a woman telling her own story, on her own terms.”
The book and audiobook come out in Australia on October 25, the day after the US.
