Brittany Cartwright took to her Instagram Story on Monday to give her fans a look at her new body.
After downsizing her breast implants and undergoing a number of other plastic surgeries, including abdominal reconstruction, liposuction, and a tummy tuck, the 36-year-old cast member of The Valley shared a post-op selfie and admitted that while she’s improving each day, she’s still sore and swollen from the procedures.
“Almost [three] weeks [post-op]! Feeling sore but so much better [every day]!” Brittany told her online audience on October 20 as she posed in a black tank top and matching pants.
Brittany also posted the image on her main page, where she offered a lengthier caption.
“I’m feeling a little sore and still swollen but I’m doing amazing and getting better [every day]! I’m so happy with my decision, do whatever makes you happy with your own body and lift other women up always! Everyone may not take the route I chose and I truly believe a woman’s body is incredible no matter what and deserves all the love!” she shared.
As The Valley fans may have seen, Brittany confirmed the procedures she had done during an episode of her podcast, When Reality Hits With Brittany Cartwright, earlier this month.
“First off, I had abdominal reconstruction,” she began. “I really just did this as a confidence thing for me, cuz I’m starting to feel so much better after everything I’ve been through to where I’m at, and I wanted to feel as good on the outside as I’m starting to feel on the inside.”
After calling it quits with husband Jax Taylor, 46, last year, Brittany said it was “very important” for her to do what was best “for [her] mental health.” However, she described her abdominal reconstruction as “extremely painful,” and she noted that getting liposuction on her back, sides, and stomach was “not easy.”
“I had a full tummy tuck,” she continued. “They took off a lot of the skin from underneath my belly button to right above my pubic bone and all the way across. So it’s crazy. All my stretch marks are gone, and my stomach is completely flat, and they moved my belly button up.”
Brittany then spoke of replacing her original implants with a smaller size.
“They took out some of my breast tissue to make it look smaller as well. And I got a lift. So my boobs are perky,” she shared.
The Valley season three is currently in production and expected to begin airing on Bravo sometime early next year.
