Bruce Springsteen has officially become a billionaire, thanks to his six-decade long career and all the ventures along the way.
Financial magazine Forbes announced the achievement, with the 74-year-old’s fortune currently estimated to be $US 1.1 billion (approx. $1.65 billion), with the outlet emphasising that this is a conservative figure.
They listed his 140 million albums sold worldwide, his best selling autobiography, Born to Run, and his sold-out Broadway show, Springsteen on Broadway, as potential reasons as to how the singer was able to make it to the big leagues.

But of course, the biggest reason would have to be due to selling his entire music catalog to Sony in 2021 for the cool sum of $US 500 million (approx. $748 million).
The 74-year old has also continued touring to this day, having recently been in Stockholm for the European leg of his tour, Springsteen and E Street Band.
But for all his fame and glory, it seems that he can’t win over everyone.

Despite his storied career, model Cara Delevigne recently revealed that she had no idea who he was when she took a snap with him at the Glastonbury Music Festival two years ago.
Two years ago we were backstage at Glastonbury and we took a photo with this guy,” Delevingne explained.
“I said to Leah afterwards, who was that?” It turned out that Springsteen made a surprise appearance during Paul McCartney’s set.

“She was like, ‘What? That was Bruce Springsteen!’ I had no idea what he looked like. She thinks that’s blasphemy,” Delevingne recalled.
