Kill Jackie
Catherine Zeta-Jones ventured into the television realm with Wednesday and the star is now heading up a crime series on AMC+, Killing Jackie. The network has just dropped the new trailer that finds Zeta-Jones having to face her past as a group of assassins are targeting her. The eight-episode limited series sets its sights on an October 2 premiere.

The official synopsis from AMC+ reads,
“Jackie Price (Zeta-Jones) has been living a luxurious existence for the last twenty years – travelling the world, selling fine art and, above all, trying to stay anonymous after escaping a dangerous past as an international drug smuggler. But just as life starts to feel a little boring, it takes a sudden lethal turn when she discovers that The Seven Demons, a squad of the world’s most terrifying hitmen, have been hired to kill her. Assuming someone from her past is behind it, Jackie unleashes her old instincts and embarks on a wild, dangerous game plan: to take down The Demons one by one before they kill her. However, she soon realizes her own demons are much more terrifying than the ruthless killers on her trail…and her buried secrets lead her closer to home, with surprising consequences.”
The show is based on the acclaimed novel The Price You Pay by Sunday Times best-selling author Nick Harkaway, writing as Aidan Truhen (Karla’s Choice, Tigerman).
The show is co-produced by Fremantle and Steel Springs Pictures and co-created by Conor Keane, Tom Butterworth (Gangs of London), Peter Lawson (John Wick) and Damon Thomas (Killing Eve). Lawson also executive produces with Jose Agustin Valdes for Steel Springs Pictures, Butterworth, Damon Thomas, Zeta-Jones with Rebecca Dundon, Dante Di Loreto and Jeffrey Levine. Damon Thomas is on board as the lead director with writer and showrunner Tom Butterworth. Conor Keane co-wrote the TV adaptation and serves as associate producer. Nick Harkaway is also on board as an executive consultant on the series.
