Danny Elfman, Los Angeles’ reigning “Pumpkin King,” is bringing Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas back to the Hollywood Bowl this Halloween, reprising a role that has become a seasonal fixture for the city’s film and music fans.
The composer behind the film’s iconic songs and score will headline an all-new live concert on Saturday, Oct. 25, and Sunday, Oct. 26, marking a decade since the first Bowl performances in 2015.
Elfman will not only conduct the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra but also take the stage as the voice of Jack Skellington and Barrel, bringing the film’s beloved characters to life in a one-of-a-kind live experience.
This year’s cast features a lineup of high-profile performers: Janelle Monáe as Sally, Keith David as Oogie Boogie, John Stamos as Lock, and Riki Lindhome as Shock. A full orchestra and choir will perform the film’s score live while the movie plays on large screens, complemented by immersive projections on the Bowl’s iconic façade, transforming the venue into a sprawling “Halloween Town.”

“I guess it’s safe to say this is becoming a Halloween tradition by now,” Elfman said. “That makes me so happy. I can’t wait to see all the Halloween freaks, monsters, gods, and goddesses to celebrate together!”
Tickets go on sale Friday, Sept. 5, at 10 a.m. PT, with presales running exclusively through Disney+ Perks from Sept. 3-4. Fans can purchase tickets via Ticketmaster, with separate links for the Oct. 25 and Oct. 26 performances.
Attendees are encouraged to arrive early to take part in pre-show activities, including Tim Burton-inspired costume contests, trick-or-treating stations, and unique photo opportunities that bring the Halloween Town aesthetic to life across the Bowl.
