Roguelike Darkest Dungeon II, released digitally on consoles in July, will get a physical edition on October 22nd. Coming packed with the game cartridge / disc, a game case and sleeve, a build-your-own stagecoach model, and a download code for the game’s OST, this physicial edition, handled by Skybound Games, is a treasure-filled re-release worthy of being in a fan’s collection.
Here’s the announcement from Darkest Dungeon II’s website:
It’s official! A physical edition of Darkest Dungeon II is launching this October.
You can pre-order your copy for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X from select retailers now.
The physical edition drops on October 22nd, and comes with the following:
- Nintendo Switch game cartridge, Playstation 5 or Xbox Series X disc
- Intricate build-your-own papercraft stagecoach model
- Redemption code for the haunting Darkest Dungeon II soundtrack by composer Stuart Chatwood
Pre-orders are now open; US retailer Best Buy currently has it listed at $39.99.
To celebrate the announcement of the physicail release, Red Hook Studios dropped a new accolades trailer on YouTube. It can be seen below, but be careful if you have yet to play the game, as some late-game bosses are seen during the trailer’s runtime.
