Brooklyn Beckham is dealing with ultimatums left and right!
The son of David and Victoria Beckham deepened his family rift last week after sharing a scathing statement detailing exactly why he is estranged from his family. He accused his parents of manipulation and attempting to ruin his relationship, especially calling them out for ruining his wedding.
It was at that wedding that his wife Nicola Peltz is said to have issued him an ultimatum — that the 26-year-old must choose between his new bride or his mother. As history has shown, he stood by his partner’s side, enduring years of tension behind the scenes until the estrangement really caught the public’s attention in the last several months.
Now, with Brooklyn pulling away even further, his parents are said to be eager to win him back! But the conditions surrounding a reconciliation make it hard to believe they’re really ready to move on!

According to People insiders on Tuesday, a source close to Brooklyn said he and Nicola “are so beaten down” by the constant media attacks launched by his parents. It’s why he felt he had no choice but to finally speak out. And now that he has, sources close to his parents said:
“They are staying quiet because they don’t want to draw more attention to it.”
But their silence doesn’t mean they’re not deeply hurt! They’re supposedly devastated by this turn of events:
“David and Victoria love Brooklyn and are afraid of losing their son. They would take him back in a minute.”
They would, would they?? Hmm… There’s just one big catch! While there’s an open-door policy for Brooklyn, sources close to the young couple claim the invitation does NOT extend to the actress, an insider dished:
“The Beckhams have no intention of reconciling with their son unless Nicola is out of the picture. But that’s not an ultimatum he’s going to cave on. Brooklyn has felt more support from his wife in these past three years than from his parents in his entire life.”
Yeah, so, the athlete and fashion designer clearly don’t care enough about a reconciliation if that’s the offer they’re making! From the look of things, that ain’t ever happening!
Because of this, the rift seems permanent. At least for now. Psychotherapist and author Jonathan Alpert chimed in:
“Healing doesn’t begin with determining who’s right. Blaming will not help. Parents need to listen without immediately explaining intent, while adult children need space to express boundaries.”
And another key point: David and Victoria need to respect those boundaries!
Sadly, it’s not sounding like the duo are eager to put in the work. A family source said:
“David and Victoria believe that over time Brooklyn will come back. But they can’t do anything until then.”
So, in other words, they’re not going to try to make amends with Nicola still in the picture? Jeez. That’s sad, if true.
