After getting the first two chapters last week, DC High Volume: Batman is back this week with the third chapter of its audio drama adaptation of writer Frank Miller and artist David Mazzucchelli‘s Batman: Year One. Originally published in 1987 by DC Comics, the groundbreaking take on Batman’s origin story first appeared in Batman #404–407 but would go on to influence creators’ takes on the Dark Knight decades later. In this week’s episode, Batman struggles to do some good in the midst of a disaster, an effort made even more dangerous by the GCPD hunting him. Meanwhile, Lt. Gordon’s personal life takes a hit and Catwoman enters the scene.
