The red-hot producer has coaxed “Strobe” into the raw, unforgiving light of 2039’s techno bunkers, harnessing its ageless melody and channeling it through an unrelenting rhythm. Out now via mau5trap, the new remix demonstrates how timeless compositions can be reinterpreted to resonate with today’s dancefloors. It artfully pays homage to the enduring impact of “Strobe” while showcasing the evolution of dance music since its release, particularly with a focus on today’s boom cycle of melodic techno.
The release is also a big moment for Giordani, who said deadmau5 was the first DJ to ever play his music on the mainstage of a major music festival, Ultra 2014.
