Deadpool and Wolverine wouldn’t be complete without its cameos! The film’s director Shawn Levy celebrates his amazing cast with brand new BTS photos.
It’s clear that Shawn Levy is a massive Marvel nerd. The director celebrated all that was (and could have been) in Deadpool and Wolverine. Which, yes, includes the amazing cameos. Levy himself took to social media to geek out about the amazing cast of heroes he got to work with, calling the project “Director heaven” in his caption for a new set of BTS photos.
While these BTS photos are far from capturing all the cameos in Deadpool and Wolverine, Shawn Levy was able to capture the biggest and most integral to the story. It’s unclear if any of these actors will ever return to their roles, even though some small details in the film suggest they survive. Yet it seems the entire cast was more than happy with their potential sendoff in the Marvel universe.
Shawn Levy’s Future With Marvel Studios
Given how successful Deadpool and Wolverine has been at the box office, Marvel is likely scrambling to find Shawn Levy a new project to helm. While the Russo Brothers’ return sadly mean he won’t be taking on the Avengers franchise as many may have hoped, others believe that Levy may be first director in line to tackle the upcoming X-Men reboot.
Yet Marvel isn’t the only massive property that Shawn Levy has his eyes set on. After Deadpool and Wolverine, the director is hopping the Disney fence to start production on his upcoming Star Wars film. While not much is known about the project, Levy recently found his writer for the film, suggesting the story is finally starting to take form.
