Deb Never has announced her new album, ARCADE, out May 8 via Giant Music. Never’s full-length, produced by Romil Hemnani, represents a series of spontaneous sessions inspired by the spontaneity of living in Los Angeles. Several friends — like boylife and Dominic Fike — visited the studio during the making of ARCADE, helping give it a sense of restless energy.
“There’s always so much going on. There’s always people around me. I’m always surrounded,” Never says. “But I always felt this singularity and this isolation, and in my music is the only time where I can really express that.”

The video for the title track, directed by Iris Kim, features Never in a boxcar race with other competitors who plot to ensure she loses. Never also released a playable online arcade game where you can compete in the same boxcar race seen in the visual.
