Denzel Curry and Kenneth Blume have announced their new album, ii, out Aug. 21 via Loma Vista. It marks their first joint full-length since 2020’s UNLOCKED.
The nine-track LP features collaborations with JPEGMAFIA, Westside Gunn, and Yebba, the latter of whom appears on “DIFFERENCE,” the first track released from ii. Since UNLOCKED, both artists have grown into veterans of their scenes, and ii reflects that evolution.

Despite being longtime friends, they clashed during the making of ii, and that tension helped to sharpen the LP.
“The work Denzel and I do has never been easy, which is why it’s so rewarding,” Blume says. “We’ve started every project on opposite sides of a coin and fought our way to the center. When I hear this album, I hear the growth and the fight in equal parts.”
Earlier this year, Curry launched the rap supergroup the Scythe and collaborated on the joint single “Hive Mind” with Knocked Loose, who he’ll also be touring with later this fall.
