It’s totally different in Disney World than it’s is in Disneyland.
In Disneyland, they’ve New Orleans Sq. which is the place Haunted Mansion is (thus it’s New Orleans theming). Subsequent to that’s Critter Nation (which is the place Splash Mountain & Nation Bears jamboree are), after which in the other way, on the opposite facet of the pond / lake, is Frontierland (which is the place Massive Thunder Mountain is). These are all technically individually themed areas of the park.
So in Disneyland I’m fairly positive they’re going to be retheming Critter Nation & making it like an extension to New Orleans Sq.. Which then the Princess & the Frog trip matches thematically.
In Disneyworld Magic Kingdom, there isn’t any New Orleans Sq. or Critter Nation. Haunted Mansion is a part of “Liberty Sq.” (which doesn’t exist at Disneyland), and Splash Mnt is a part of Frontierland, regardless of it being a little bit of a theming mismatch. They only didn’t have anyplace else to place it.
