Disney’s controversial Snow White remake has finally wrapped production after a long two year shoot of starts and stops. The film’s star, Rachel Zegler (West Side Story), has stirred things up with fans, making comments about the possibility of the film’s story being changed, but nothing official has come out.
Even when the film was shown to test audiences a couple of months ago, the reviews were so polarized, with some viewers calling it “great,” and some calling it “a mess.”
So we really have no idea what we are going to get, but I have a feeling that we will probably see some footage from the movie at Comic-Con in a few weeks, and we will have a better feel for it.
The story follows a princess who is rescued by seven dwarf miners, Bashful, Doc, Dopey, Grumpy, Happy, Sleepy, and Sneezy, who make Snow White part of their household after she’s exiled into a dangerous forest by her wicked queen.
Marc Webb (The Amazing Spider-Man) directs Snow White from a screenplay by Barbie director Greta Gerwig and playwright Erin Cressida Wilson.
The movie stars Rachel Zegler as Snow White, Gal Gadot as the Evil Queen, Ansu Kabia as the Huntsman, Martin Klebba as Grumpy, and Andrew Burnap as Jonathan.
Snow White is now set to be released in theaters on March 21, 2025.
