Donald Trump is claiming the feds are possibly getting closer to solving the case of Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance.
Nearly a week after the 84-year-old mother of Savannah Guthrie went missing, the president told reporters aboard Air Force One on Friday night that investigators made a lot of progress in the investigation — and they may even have a suspect now. You may recall that Trump posted on Truth Social earlier this week that he is “deploying all resources” to help find Nancy. When asked about the federal support, he replied:
“I think we’re doing very well on that regard. You’re probably surprised to hear that. I think we’re doing very well. Very well meaning we have some clues, I think that are very strong, and I think we could have some answers coming up fairly soon.”

Trump made it clear, however, that he isn’t talking about the “search” but rather a “solution” to the ongoing case. He suggested that “some things” could be coming from the Department of Justice or the FBI “soon,” adding:
“A lot has taken place in the last couple of hours. A lot of things have happened with regard to that horrible situation in the last couple of hours.”
Trump didn’t really elaborate on what exactly those developments are. But when a journalist specifically asked about a “suspect” at one point, he responded:
“Yeah. Could be definitive.”
Whoa…
At this time, it is important to note that the Pima County Sheriff’s Department has not identified any suspects or persons of interest in the case. Cops previously stated that Annie Guthrie‘s husband/Nancy’s son-in-law, Tommaso Cioni, is NOT labeled as a suspect — despite journalist Ashleigh Banfield‘s claims that she heard from a trusted law enforcement source that he is possibly a “prime suspect” in her disappearance.
The sheriff’s department, the FBI, and the DOJ have not yet addressed Trump’s statements, so take what he said with a grain of salt. We do know that cops are currently investigating a “new message” KOLD-TV received. We’ll keep you posted on any major updates. Watch the interview on Air Force One (below):

A tip line has been set up: see HERE. The FBI has offered a $50,000 reward for information leading to the recovery of Nancy Guthrie, and/or the arrest and conviction of anyone involved in her disappearance.
