Doctor Doom is getting ready to make his mark on the MCU, and Hot Toys just gave us another sinister look at what Victor Von Doom will be wearing when Avengers: Doomsday hits theaters.
The collectible company has officially unveiled its limited-edition Victor Von Doom figure, offering our best look yet at Doom’s second mask and the outfit he’ll apparently wear before fully embracing his armored Doctor Doom persona.
Hot Toys specifically identifies him as Victor Von Doom in this form. That fits with what we know about the character’s role in Avengers: Doomsday, as Victor is expected to initially present himself as an ally to the Multiverse’s Mightiest Heroes before revealing his true intentions and unleashing the Sentinels on them on Earth-10005.
The mask with this figure gives Victor a more stripped-down and sinister appearance compared to the full Doctor Doom armor, but once again, there don’t appear to be any visible scars around his eyes. Whether Marvel Studios is intentionally hiding something about Doom’s face remains to be seen.
Hot Toys describes Victor as “a master of both cutting-edge science and ancient sorcery,” adding that he “commands respect and instils fear across the Multiverse.”
The 1/6-scale figure comes dressed in Doom’s dark green traveling attire, complete with a tunic, pants, long boots and hooded cloak. His cloak features a hexagonal texture, bendable wire for posing, a magnetic silver-colored clasp and a metal chain.
Hot Toys offered the following detailed description: “This figure features a newly crafted helmeted head with separate rolling eyeballs to capture his calculated gaze. Unlike his armored attire, this version showcases a tailored ensemble designed for travel and movement without sacrificing regal authority.
“It includes a dark green tunic, belt with a rectangular buckle, pants, long boots, and a dark green hooded cloak textured with a hexagonal pattern. The cloak features bendable wire for dynamic posing, secured by a magnetic silver-colored clasp and a metal chain.
“Doom’s command is brought to life with multiple interchangeable hands alongside specialized accessories, including translucent green colored flame effects and a pair of hands surrounded by translucent green and black krackle effects, depicting Doom channeling formidable mystic power. A specially designed figure stand with dual interchangeable display poles completes the set.”
The mystic effects are a nice addition, especially since Avengers: Doomsday will apparently lean into Victor’s combination of science and sorcery rather than treating him as simply another armored MCU villain.
Hot Toys is limiting the figure to only 3,000 pieces worldwide. There’s currently no word on exactly when pre-orders will open.
