Moon Knight may very well appear in Avengers: Doomsday! Speculation of Oscar Isaac’s return as the hero mounts following a cancelled convention appearance.
Moon Knight sits at a very weird intersection of the MCU. Many comic fans hate the show, while many casual fans call it some of the best things Marvel has ever put out. Though regardless of where one sits on the projects, the oddest thing about it is the silence revolving if Oscar Isaac would ever return to reprise the character, be it in a season 2 or otherwise.
During the very, very long livestream debuting just some of Avengers: Doomsday‘s cast, some fans were hoping for Oscar Isaac’s name to appear on the chairs. However, he (along with many others) were absent. And given how many big names, such as Tom Holland and Elizabeth Olsen, were absent, many assumed they’d have to wait just a bit longer for Moon Knight to return.
Will Moon Knight Be In Avengers: Doomsday?
There is some light at the end of the tunnel for Moon Knight fans that might signal his return. Oscar Isaac was slated to attend the upcoming Star Wars Celebration in Japan taking place from April 18th to the 20th. However, his appearance was recently cancelled due to “changes in his production schedule”. While no specific project was given, the timeline would suggest that the actor is slated to make some sort of appearance in Avengers: Doomsday.
The idea that Moon Knight would appear in Avengers: Doomsday isn’t as shocking as some might think. The last time the character appeared was as an Avenger in the final season of What If…?. The only odd part about this whole thing is that his appearance at the event was only cancelled now, suggesting that Oscar Isaac wasn’t notified of his return as the character until very recently.
Avengers: Doomsday is set to hit theaters in May 2026. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
