First-time director Matthew Hersh has been quietly filming his murder-centric anthology horror movie If It Bleeds and has amassed quite the genre cast.

Catherine Corcoran (Terrifier) leads the way as Diane Winters, an ambitious young news reporter who, along with her cameraman, Simon (played by Justin Miles), sets about uncovering the mystery of a series of brutal murders. But things take an even darker turn, and the pair find themselves in a deadly situation.
Icons of horror Doug Jones (Hellboy, Pans Labyrinth) and Dee Wallace (Cujo, The Howling) are also involved, with Jones playing a quirky plastic surgeon. Musician Krsy Fox rounds out the main cast.
The overarching story appears to be Corcoran and Miles’ murder investigation as director Matthew Hersh said in a statement, “I figured what better way to dive into the horror genre than through the eyes of a news reporter in the field seeing and facing the horrors of humanity unfold in front of her very own eyes.”
There’s no release date for If It Bleeds, but it is said to be close to completion of filming.
