Dua Lipa fans got a big surprise tonight (March 28) in Sydney when the artist welcomed Tame Impala‘s Kevin Parker for a mid-set performance of his band’s “The Less I Know the Better.”
“I get to sing one of my favorite songs ever with one of my favorite artists,” Lipa told the crowd at Qudos Bank Arena. The artist previously drafted Parker to co-produce and co-write her 2024 album, Radical Optimism. Meanwhile, playing an Australian cover extended a theme established at earlier local shows on the run, which have featured INXS’ “Never Tear Us Apart,” AC/DC’s “Highway to Hell” and Natalie Imbruglia’s “Torn.”

Lipa will be on tour throughout the year in support of Radical Optimism, including an extensive North American leg this fall.
Tame Impala have been off the road since March 2023 but have been diligently working on the follow-up to 2020’s The Slow Rush. Parker has also been busy launching his own chord-generating instrument, Orchid, and landed his first Grammy earlier this year when the Justice team-up “Neverender” won Best Dance/Electronic Recording.
