Rahel Solomon, the anchor of CNN‘s 5 a.m. ET show Early Start, said that she is departing the network.
“I have decided that this will be my last week at CNN. More to come about what’s next for me, but I am really excited about this next chapter,” she told viewers on Monday.
The show debuted about a year ago, covering major overnight breaking events and getting an early start on news that will dominate the day.
Solomon also has covered business and economic news for CNN, having previously served as a business correspondent for CNN International. She joined the network from CNBC, where she was a general news reporter.
It’s unclear who will succeed Solomon in the time slot. A CNN spokesperson did not immediately return a request for comment.
