ELECEED awakens—as an anime.
The hit webtoon ELECEED is getting an anime adaptation, produced by DandeLion Animation Studio (THE FIRST SLAM DUNK, Magic Candies). Hiroshi Nishikori, known for directing the 2023 Idolish7 movie and Honey Lemon Soda, will direct the series. Yousuke Kuroda, the screenwriter behind My Hero Academia, will handle the script, while Minami Sakura (Gridman Universe) will bring the characters to life through her designs. A teaser video and key visual have already dropped.
Original author Jeho Son shared his excitement:
“It feels like a dream to finally share the news that ELECEED is getting an anime adaptation! This is all thanks to our incredible readers who have loved and supported the series. I hope the anime allows even more people to enjoy the world of ELECEED!”
ZHENA, the illustrator, celebrated with new art featuring Seo Jiwoo, Kayden, Pluton, and Kartein beaming with joy. The text reads: “Excited! So happy! ELECEED is getting an anime!!”
Fans can also look forward to a special Anime Expo 2025 panel on July 6, where DandeLion Animation Studio president Kazuhiro Nishikawa and Shinobu Seguchi (Oedo Fire Slayer) will share behind-the-scenes stories from production. Titled Amuse Creative Studio Presents: How the Pros Make Anime & Manga, the panel will run from 12:45 PM to 2:05 PM PST.
