Don’t say farewell to Ellen Pompeo. The Gray’s Anatomy star and government producer conveyed that message to followers on Instagram Thursday, promising she ultimately will return as Meredith following her ultimate midseason episode as a full-time forged member.
Pompeo stated she is “eternally grateful and humbled by the love and help” followers have proven for her and her character Meredith Gray for 19 seasons. “You understand the present should go on and I’ll undoubtedly be again to go to,” she wrote on Instagram.
As Deadline revealed in August, Pompeo is scaling again her on-screen presence on Gray’s Anatomy this season to eight episodes. Her Feb. 23 farewell as a core forged member, aptly titled “I’ll Observe the Solar” and written by Gray’s Anatomy government producer/showrunner Krista Vernoff, is Episode 7. Pompeo, who’s segueing to a Hulu restricted sequence which she is starring in and government producing, is predicted to return for Gray’s Anatomy‘s Season 19 finale.
She stays an government producer and can present the voiceover narration for all episodes this season. Within the Nov. 10 fall finale, Meredith introduced her departure from Gray Sloan in an electronic mail.
