One of Oscars weekend’s most impactful and star-powered events returned in full force as the Elton John AIDS Foundation hosted its 34th Annual Academy Awards Viewing Party, raising an impressive $10.6 million in support of the global fight against HIV/AIDS.
Held at West Hollywood Park on March 15, the annual benefit once again brought together a mix of Hollywood A-listers, music icons, and advocates for a night that blended celebration with purpose. Co-hosted by Elton John, David Furnish, Neil Patrick Harris, and David Burtka, the event continues to stand as one of the most prestigious and meaningful gatherings of awards season.
This year’s celebration was headlined by breakout British artist Lola Young, whose raw and emotionally charged performance energized the crowd. Performing tracks from her latest album I’m Only F**king Myself, including “d£aler” and “SPIDERS,” Young captivated attendees, with her hit “Messy” turning into a full crowd singalong.
“Elton, David and the Foundation are all about celebrating who you really are, and that’s exactly what my music is about,” Young shared, highlighting the importance of continuing advocacy for HIV awareness and LGBTQ+ communities.

Beyond the music, the evening delivered a full immersive experience, beginning with a Champagne reception hosted by American Airlines in celebration of its centennial anniversary. Guests enjoyed a curated culinary program by Chef Wayne Elias, alongside specialty cocktails from Tequila Don Julio.
A major highlight of the night came during the fundraising auction led by Lydia Fenet, where standout items including exclusive artwork, luxury experiences, and once-in-a-lifetime opportunities, inspired generous contributions. Among the most talked-about pieces was artist Jack Coulter’s Tiny Dancer, a vivid work created through synaesthesia during a live piano performance by Elton John.
The evening drew an impressive guest list that included Dua Lipa, Becky G, Laverne Cox, Melissa McCarthy, RuPaul, Zoe Saldaña and many more, reinforcing the event’s reputation as a must-attend gathering during awards season.
“This evening captured the spirit of what makes this event so special — extraordinary talent, dear friends, and a shared commitment to making a difference,” said David Furnish, Chair of the Foundation.
Since its founding in 1992, the Elton John AIDS Foundation has remained one of the world’s leading independent AIDS organizations, funding prevention, treatment, and care for communities most in need. The funds raised from this year’s event will continue to support global efforts to reduce HIV transmissions, expand access to care, and combat stigma and inequality.
As Elton John reflected during the evening, the mission remains as urgent as ever, but nights like this prove the power of community. With millions raised and awareness amplified, the event once again demonstrated how entertainment and activism can come together to create real, lasting impact.
