Fans SLAM Kim Kardashian For Getting FOUR New Puppies For Christmas – One For ‘Each Kid’

Kim Kardashian has welcomed four new members to the family.

The SKIMS founder’s household nearly just doubled in size! On Christmas Day, Kimmy Kakes took to her Instagram Story to share glimpses of four teeny-tiny Pomeranian puppies, which she got for her four kids North, 12, Saint, 10, Chicago, 7, and Psalm, 6. In a photo of the four puppies sitting side-by-side, two with dark fur and two with lighter-colored fur, the reality TV star wrote:

“each kid got a puppy”

However, while the pooches may be undeniably adorable, fans on X (Twitter) were NOT impressed with the gift idea considering Kim’s questionable history with pets:

“They keep getting animals and then we never hear about them again. It’s like the Bermuda Triangle for pets.”

“They’ll be in a new home by March.”

“Cool. Who’s feeding them and picking up all of the s**t?”

“Why do they keep getting pets they don’t want to take care of”

“This is infuriating to me! Dogs are family not ‘gifts’ that end up given away”

“If they each got a puppy then it’s not special at all. How will they learn to love one pet as siblings when they each get a personal dog like it’s a Tamagotchi?”

“They don’t realize what a big responsibility having a pet is, they just have it for show and cause it’s small and cute and it’s something kids want but when the pup grows up they no longer care for it. Absolutely ridiculous.”

Some fans asked questions about Sushi, the Pomeranian pup Kim got alongside her sister Kourtney back in 2017, and Sake, another Pom she adopted a few years later:

“What happened to sushi”

“What happened to the other guys”

In 2022, the dogs were featured in a since-deleted TikTok, which North posted on their shared account. The video depicted Sushi and Sake seemingly living in the garage, which at at the time caused an uproar amongst fans.

The latest sighting on Sushi and Sake came in 2024, when they were featured in a photoshoot for Kim’s SKKN Holiday Collection. See (below):

Kim didn’t make it clear if she still has Sushi and Sake now, but if so, the four new pups would bring her Pomeranian count to a grand total of SIX!

The Kardashian-West kids weren’t the only ones to welcome a new furry family member on Christmas, though. The same day, Khloé revealed she got a Black Lab for her kids True, 7, and Tatum, 3, for the special day after they had been asking for one.

As Keeping Up with the Kardashians fans will recall, the KarJenner family previously had a Black Lab named Gabbana, which Khloé ended up taking in full time. Sadly, the beloved pooch passed away in 2018 at the age of 14.

However, the gift criticism wasn’t lost on the Good American founder.

On X, animal rights organization PETA blasted the famous sisters for getting puppies when there are so many shelter animals in need of rescue:

“Puppies aren’t plushies. Kim and Khloé Kardashian missed a huge opportunity to use their platform to help shelter dogs instead of buying from breeders. Ignoring the homeless animal crisis is inexcusable. Next time, call a shelter and choose adoption.”
