Floyd Levine, an actor known for his work on projects such as Melrose Place and Baywatch, has died. He was 93.
Levine was the father of actor and former Paramount CEO, Brian Robbins, with his daughter-in-law, Tracy James Robbins, the first to share news of his death.
In a post shared to Instagram, Tracy revealed that Levine had died on August 24 surrounded by family, joking that he was “probably wishing someone would bring him a martini”.

She remembered Levine as a man who “loved Frank Sinatra, classic films, and making everyone laugh,” adding that not only was he “the best” father-in-law and grandpa, but also an “all around jokester”.
Levine was born in New York City, and worked as a cab driver at the beginning of his career as he landed small roles in films such as Superfly and Dog Dag Afternoons.
He soon moved to Los Angeles to chase his “Hollywood dreams”, landing roles on shows such as Three’s Company, The Love Boat, Days of Our Lives and Murder, She Wrote.
His son followed in his footsteps (taking his mother’s last name when he entered the industry), with the pair even sharing the screen in a 1989 episode of Head of Class.

Tracy described Brian as his father’s “twin”, saying that the family “will see Floyd’s grin every time we look at him”.
