Los Angeles is no stranger to powerhouse women building empires with style, but few are doing it quite like Meagan Elieff and Meghan Fialkoff — the dynamic duo behind The Modern Day Wife.
Equal parts community, lifestyle brand, and live event experience, The Modern Day Wife is redefining what it means to “have it all” in the modern era. Their next event coming to the Fairmont Breakers (Long Beach) in greater Los Angeles this December.
“We built The Modern Day Wife to be a space where women can show up as their full selves,” says founder Meagan Elieff. “You can be a mother, a wife, a boss, and still love your lipstick and heels. We don’t make women choose—we celebrate it all.”

Their last event in Los Angeles took place at the W Hotel (Westside) and included a celebrity panel featuring Hannah Wright (Winner of Love Island), Mary Bonnet (Selling Sunset), Tammy Kay Le (Million Dollar Listing & Bachelor franchise), and a fireside chat with entertainment Guru, Charlie Neff of TMZ. But it wasn’t all about Hollywood, there was an entire day of programming that included powerhouse speakers across industries like fashion, beauty, and wellness; networking events, and on site brand activations.
The idea for MDW was born in 2018, during what Elieff calls a “pivotal season” of her life. Already running a personal development brand called Project You, she found herself craving something deeper—something that reflected the realities of modern womanhood.
“I realized that so many of us were juggling it all—career, marriage, motherhood, entrepreneurship—but we didn’t have a community that honored the full picture,” she explains. “That’s where The Modern Day Wife began, asa place for women to connect, collaborate, and grow without having to edit who they are.”
While the women’s empowerment space is crowded, The Modern Day Wife stands out for its unique blend of sophistication, substance, and sparkle. The brand’s signature events feel like a mix between a ForbesWomen Summit and a Hollywood soirée. Attendees include entrepreneurs, executives, and trend-setters and the audience comes dress to impressed!
“So many groups focus on one thing—business, motherhood, lifestyle—but life isn’t one-dimensional,” says co-founder Meghan Fialkoff. “We embrace it all. Some days you’re the boss, some days you’re the mom, and some days you’re just trying to find your balance. We want women to feel seen and supported through every chapter.”

That authentic, all-encompassing approach has helped the brand attract a loyal following of women across entertainment, entrepreneurship, fashion, and beyond. The events take place at major cities across the U.S. including New York, Los Angeles, Scottsdale, Miami and more.
In a world leaning increasingly digital, The Modern Day Wife is doubling down on something timeless: real-life connection.
“There’s just something magical about getting dressed up, stepping into a beautiful space, and connecting face-to-face,” says Elieff. “That’s the heartbeat of what we do. Our events remind women that confidence, glamour, and authenticity never go out of style.”
Elieff leads the creative and community side of the company, curating experiences that blend aspiration with authenticity. Fialkoff oversees partnerships, media, and strategic growth—ensuring the brand continues to evolve with purpose.
“As a self-funded startup, every decision matters,” says Fialkoff. “We’ve built this from the ground up—intentionally, authentically, and without compromise. It’s not just about scaling fast; it’s about growing right.”
At its core, The Modern Day Wife is about reimagining success on your own terms. Whether it’s hosting luxury networking events in LA, launching a digital magazine, or amplifying women’s voices through their podcast, the brand is dedicated to one mission: empowering women to lead with confidence and style.
“Being a woman in business used to mean fitting into a mold,” says Fialkoff. “We’re breaking that mold. We’re proving that femininity and power can coexist—and that women can be soft, strong, and successful all at once.”
