Hetflix has released a new teaser trailer for Adam Sandler’s highly anticipated film Happy GIomore 2! It was also announced that the movie will begin streaming July 25 on Netflix.
There’s still no synopsis to share for the film, just a caption that reads: “Happy Gilmore is back!” However, the new trailer reveals that Happy has played golf in years and he’s having some doubts about facing off against a few PGA heavyweights.
When he is back on the golf course, though, and ready to play, he just needs to find his “Happy Place” and get back into the groove. It looks like a good time!
It also featured Julie Bowen reprising her role as Virgina Venit, Christopher McDonald as Shooter McGavin, Ben Stiller’s Hal, and more. The movie also features Bad Bunny, Travis Kelce and Sandler’s daughters Sadie and Sunny.
Kyle Newacheck (Murder Mystery) is directing the sequel from a script by Sandler and Tim Herlihy.
When previously talking about the film, Sandler said: “It’s good. We worked hard on the script. We didn’t want to let anybody down. People have been asking me for a long time. We’re really excited about it. We wrote our asses off. So many of the golfers are being nice and will be a part of it.”
This sequel comes nearly three decades after the original was released, and I’m excited to watch it!
