Fun Trailer for ‘Paddington 1 & 2’ Returning to UK Cinemas This Year

“Experience the magic again.” Everyone’s favorite bear is back! In anticipation of the upcoming release of the next Paddington 3 sequel titled Paddington in Peru (hitting theaters this November first in the UK, then in January in the US), StudioCanal UK has arranged an official re-release of the first two movies. The original Paddington (2014) and Paddington 2 (2017), both directed by filmmaker Paul King (who went on to make Wonka instead of #3), will return to theaters in October in the UK. Even though there’s no US re-release confirmed yet (hoping it also happens!) this UK trailer is still so fun to watch. “Before Paddington returns for his biggest adventure yet – rewatch the first 2 Paddington films exclusively in cinemas.” Plus it’s a lovely reminder these two movies are proper amazing and it is always the right time to watch them. Both Paddingtons are the most wholesome, delightful comedy classics and hopefully the next one is just as good.

Paddington (voiced by Ben Whishaw) is happily settled with the Brown family in Windsor Gardens, where he has become a popular member of the community in London, spreading joy and marmalade wherever he goes. While searching for the perfect present for his beloved Aunt Lucy’s 100th birthday, Paddington spots a unique pop-up book in Mr. Gruber’s antique shop, and embarks upon a series of odd jobs to buy it. But when the book is stolen, it’s up to Paddington and the Browns to unmask the thief. Paddington 2 is directed again by British filmmaker Paul King, director of the first Paddington and “The Mighty Boosh” previously. The screenplay is written by Simon Farnaby and Paul King. The first Paddington movie originally opened in UK theaters in November 2014, and in US theaters in January 2015. The next Paddington 2 sequel opened in UK theaters in November 2017, and in US theaters in January 2018. Both movies will be re-released this October in the UK.
