Gayle King recalls what really counts: fluffy schedules or agendas never stand in the way of those! That name that everyone loves from TV went for the ultimate Caribbean spa vacation with the closest female relatives.
“Family is what really matters in life!” she said in her trademark social media speak, which has her whole generation buzzing. The perfect hang evolved with her three sisters, her daughter Kirby, her daughter-in-law Elise, her niece Mackenzie Schweber, and Kirby’s best friend Erica, at two fancy resorts: Half Moon Resort in Jamaica and Aurora Anguilla Resort & Golf Club.
The photo celebrated the memory. There sat eight happy faces poolside underneath all those palm trees and through the clear blue skies; each one donned in casual summer clothes that screamed: “vacay time!” No schedules, no agendas, just great food and carefree fun.

The lengthy comment further raged against King for speaking about the Israeli casualties and never about those of the Palestinians, then concluded with a scathing remark: “You seem to believe that the people of Israel are worth a lot more than the Arabs behind the apartheid wall.”
The same commenter returned some hours later with new information on the casualty toll: “Did you know that Israel destroyed 5 apartment towers in Gaza in the last 72 hours? 7,200 people, suddenly homeless. Price of a tent is $1,200. It’s hard to watch you on a luxury vacation while they are being murdered and starved to death.”
Such grave talk stood so against the very lighthearted ambience King had created through the course of the trip. Lighting up another comment was a user declaring, “You all look great!!” While yet another said, “Another Cover for Sports Illustrated“(referring to King’s recent swimsuit issue cover).
Such mixed reactions show how-even if just for a brief beating-the light news of the celebrity can be harnessed to launch much wider discussions. While most followers stuck to chatting about the happy family occasion, others seized the opportunity to bring up international conflicts that ought to be stealing more media attention.
Apart from the political diversion, the general trajectory remained positive if even to King’s family time. As said one comment, “Looks like fun!
