Gia Giudice is hopeful that the time has come for Teresa Giudice and Joe Gorga to make peace.
“I really do hope they come to just a happy medium,” Gia, 24, shared on the Tuesday, October 21, episode of SiriusXM’s Page Six Radio. “And I really just hope for peace for everyone.”
The Real Housewives of New Jersey viewers have had a front row seat to the feud surrounding the Giudices and the Gorgas.
While the two families have shared some good memories on Bravo, season 14 of the reality show ended in August 2024 with Joe, 51, and Melissa Gorga’s relationship with Teresa, 53, more fractured than ever before.
The feud resulted in Gia and her siblings not having the closest relationship with Joe and Melissa’s kids, their cousins.
“That’s definitely unfortunate because obviously my mother and father are divorced and I am extremely close to my dad’s side,” Gia explained to hosts Evan Murray-Real and Danny Murphy. “We know that it’s possible [to get along] even though your parents aren’t best friends or stuff didn’t work out, there’s still a way and room to have a relationship.”
No matter what has happened in the past, Gia — who is currently competing on Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test — hopes her mom and uncle can put the past behind them and move forward.
“Unfortunately, I think the circumstances were a little different just because it got so crazy on Housewives and it was just a lot,” she said. “I don’t blame it on either one of us for not maintaining a relationship. I think it was difficult. It was a lot. I’m just hoping for peace and clarity between both of them, and I hope we can come back to at least just peace and respect.”
Earlier this month, Teresa dropped a bombshell that she had plans to “meet” and “speak” with Joe and Melissa, 46, after previously saying that the family would “never” reconcile.
“Time does heal all wounds. And when time goes by, you forget things,” Teresa said during an appearance on iHeartRadio’s “I Do Part 2” podcast. “I want to be a good example for my children.”
Joe later confirmed that he heard from his sister and is open to meeting with her.
“She did text me. She reached out,” he shared on the October 14 episode of iHeartRadio’s “The Eds” podcast. “She would like to sit down and meet. I’ve never wanted to argue with her ever. It was not my intention. If I sit down with her and I hear her out, it has to be a lot of … it has to be very humble. It has to be real. It has to be, you know, ‘I’ve made mistakes,’ and we can move forward.”
Bravo has yet to officially announce any plans or casting for season 15 of The Real Housewives of New Jersey.
In September, a source exclusively confirmed to Us that Margaret Josephs, Dolores Catania and Melissa filmed with potential new cast members. Although Teresa, Jackie Goldschneider and Jen Fessler did not test-film, the insider said they “are still in consideration to be part of the new season.”
