Gia Giudice addressed her current relationship with Joe and Melissa Gorga on a recent episode of her podcast.
Following the meeting between the Gorgas and her mom, Teresa Giudice, 53, and her stepfather, Luis Ruelas, 50, and after re-following Joe, 51, on Instagram, the 24-year-old Real Housewives of New Jersey star spoke of her and her family’s relationships with the Gorgas. She also addressed her potential reconciliation with her cousins.
“There’s nothing right now [between us and the Gorgas], but hopefully we can come to a peaceful place soon,” Gia explained to a fan on Casual Chaos, via a clip shared by Virtual Reali-Tea on Instagram.
Another fan wanted to know if Gia and her sisters were able to talk to or see their Gorga cousins at all.
“Not really,” she replied. “Unfortunately, with the show, it became very toxic, so it just got a little difficult for the kids to maintain a relationship, which is very unfortunate. But if we do come to a place of peace, there’s definitely room to grow and maybe build the relationships again.”
At another moment of the podcast, Gia explained why she turned down a role on Love Island USA on multiple occasions.
“I got asked to go on Love Island like, year after year, and I turned that down, obviously, because I’m dating my boyfriend, [Christian Carmichael]. But, yeah. I’ve got asked to go on Love Island USA. It was a lot during when I was in college, but it was pretty consecutive when I was in college,” she shared, also via Virtual Reali-Tea on Instagram.
Then, she explained how Christian felt about filming Next Gen NYC.
“He actually liked being on Next Gen NYC. I mean, he didn’t mind it, but also, like, this is not his world,” she stated. “This is not something that he’s used to, and it was definitely a little bit of an adjustment.”
Next Gen NYC season two is currently in production and expected to begin airing on Bravo sometime next year.
