Shark Tank casting goop—err, scoop!
Oscar-winning actress (and goop founder) Gwyneth Paltrow is one among two new visitor Sharks becoming a member of Season 14 of ABC’s Shark Tank, Deadline reviews. An airdate for her debut has not but been disclosed.
Additionally new to the Tank is DoorDash CEO and co-founder Tony Xu. Each Paltrow and Xu will seem alongside Mark Cuban, Barbara Corcoran, Lori Greiner, Robert Herjavec, Daymond John and Kevin O’Leary throughout the 2022-23 season.
Returning visitors, in the meantime, embrace Dragon’s Den‘s Peter Jones, Skims founding associate Emma Grede, Variety founder Daniel Lubetzky and dressmaker Kendra Scott.
Paltrow was beforehand an advisor on Apple’s first-ever authentic sequence, the one-and-done Planet of the Apps, which predated Apple TV+ and streamed solely on Apple Music in 2017. Comparable in vein to Shark Tank, Paltrow, alongside fellow advisors Jessica Alba, will.i.am and Gary Vaynerchuk, heard 60-second elevator pitches from software program builders, who entered by way of a slow-moving escalator.
