Hayley Williams released “Showbiz,” another surprise track from her third solo album, Ego Death At A Bachelorette Party, which was officially released on vinyl today. “Showbiz” follows “Good Ol Days” and “Parachute,” all of which were added after the initial collection of 17 songs that Williams dropped in the summer via her label, Post Atlantic, and distributed by Secretly Distribution.
Williams wrote “Showbiz” with producer and collaborator Daniel James, who worked across the entirety of Ego Death At A Bachelorette Party. The track features Williams retelling a romantic encounter under the fog and haze of a club. “I wanna do it again/I wanna dance in the strobe lights/I wanna choke on the smoke/And feel your eyes on me,” she sings before wondering whether it mattered as much to the other person as it did to her. The visualizer features Nashville’s skyline and the signature scribbles Williams has used throughout the artwork for the LP.
