She received rave reviews for her hosting, so it’s no surprise Deadline reported on Monday that Nikki is “almost certain” to be back as host next year.
The publication reports that she signed a three-year deal with CBS to host the Golden Globes last year, and the option might come to fruition. If she were to return, Deadline reported that her pay is expected to “significantly” increase for the 2026 show.
According to Deadline, Nikki was paid “a bit more than $400,000 for hosting this year.
While Nikki hasn’t confirmed this number or if she’ll return next year, she did note in an interview on The Howard Stern Show on Monday that there was “chatter” about her returning but no formal offer.
“It’s not really up to me, but I can’t imagine they wouldn’t,” she said of being asked to return. Nikki noted she learned through working with the awards show that it’s “hard” for them find hosts. “It turns out a lot of people do [turn it down],” she said. “It’s a tough gig.”
Nikki also indicated on Stern’s show that she was fine with the amount she made for hosting.
“I feel well-paid for what I do,” she said. “I’m alright. At this first year when you’re just trying to prove yourself, I honestly would have done it for free. It’s an insane platform to be on. It’s not about the money for me.”
She reportedly revealed to Stern that she made less than a recent Golden Globes host.
“There was a past host who said how much money he got paid in his monologue, and I got less than that, but that’s okay. I’ll get more next year,” she said, per People.
While Nikki didn’t name the host, comedian Jerrod Carmichael hosted the show in 2023 and revealed during his monologue that he received $500,000 for the gig.
