EXCLUSIVE: Hollywood Game Night is heading to Mongolia.
NBCUniversal Formats has partnered with local nework Edutainment TV on the latest version of the hit format, which will launch in early 2026 in a weekly Sunday primetime slot.
In Hollywood Game Night, viewers are invited to an exclusive showbiz themed party where the host referees a lively celebrity game night, complete with two non-celebrity contestants. The contestants join one of two celebrity teams to compete in a series of party games and pop quizzes as they battle for the chance to win a cash prize.
In the U.S., Hollywood Game Night ran for seven years and was hosted by Jane Lynch, who won two Emmys for the show. Since finishing in 2020, Hollywood Game Night has continued to sell around the world and is now in more than 25 territories including Thailand, Vietnam and Indonesia. The Mongolian adaptation marks the seventh NBCUniversal Formats title in the country and represents the second collaboration with Edutainment TV following the local adaptation of Master of Photography.
“The Hollywood Game Night format has become a real favourite around the world because of its fun, dynamic and light-hearted spirit,” said Linfield Ng, NBCUniversal’s Vice President, Format Sales and Production. “Viewers across Asia have embraced that energy, and we are excited to be working with Edutainment TV again to bring the format to Mongolia.”
Hollywood Game Night was originally created for NBC by Sean Hayes and Todd Milliner and was produced by Hazy Mills Productions, Mission Control Media and Universal Television Alternative Studio, a division of Universal Studio Group.
