The Aspects of Circe, Artemis, and Charon from Hades 2.

Weapon aspects fundamentally change how you use each Nocturnal Arm in Hades 2. Each Nocturnal Arm has three weapon aspects that will adjust your moves, give you buffs, and, ultimately, change your playstyle. However, to discover them, you’ll need to learn an incantation that can be a bit tricky to find.

Here are all of the weapon aspects in Hades 2.

To unlock weapon aspects, you’ll need to complete the “Aspects of Night and Darkness” incantation at the Cauldron. However, discovering the incantation is a little up in the air. In the early access period, you would learn the incantation after defeating Hecate with each weapon. From our experience, the incantation appeared at the Cauldron after we defeated Chronos twice, but this was before we defeated Hecate at least once with every weapon.

After you’ve completed the incantation, head to the Silver Pool in the center of the staging area to see the available aspects along with their unlock costs.

All weapon aspects in Hades 2

There are six different Nocturnal Arms in Hades 2 and each weapon has four aspects — three unlocked with the “Aspects of Night and Darkness” incantation and one hidden aspect. Below, we’ve listed the three default aspects along with their unlock costs.

Aspects of the Witch’s Staff

Aspect	Description	Unlock cost
Melinoë	Gain max magick and greater power for your specials.	Unlocked by default
Circe	Whenever you use casts, so does your animal familiar, forming a psychic leash.	5 lotus and 5 marble
Momus	Whenever you use Ω moves, each fire in placed up to three times until you use it again.	3 lime and 1 pearl

Aspects of the Sister Blades

Aspect	Description	Unlock cost
Melinoë	Your attacks and specials deal more damage by striking foes from behind.	Unlocked by default
Artemis	While you channel your Ω attack, you occasionally parry, then riposte right after.	15 silver and 1 glass rock
Pan	Your specials seek foes in your casts, and fire more shots if you channel longer.	2 wool and 2 shaderot

Aspects of the Umbral Flames

Aspect	Description	Unlock cost
Melinoë	Your attacks and specials may deal critical damage.	Unlocked by default
Moros	Your attacks linger for two seconds, and explode in a blast if struck by your specials.	6 bronze and 4 tears
Eos	Your Ω attack fires a Daybreaker that deals damage in an area around it every two seconds.	2 driftwood and 2 golden apples

Aspects of the Moonstone Axe

Aspect	Description	Unlock cost
Melinoë	Gain bonus attack power and max life.	Unlocked by default
Charon	Your cast erupts like a stronger Ω cast if struck by your Ω special.	3 pearl and 3 obol points
Thanatos	Your attack is faster, and each strike grants mortality until you take damage.	4 night shade and 4 glass rocks

Aspects of the Argent Skull

Aspect	Description	Unlock cost
Melinoë	Your attacks have more power for each shell fired and not yet retrieved.	Unlocked by default
Medea	Your attack stays within reach, and explodes after landing your specials or three seconds.	1 mandrake and 4 iron
Persephone	Your Ω special is Sprouted, and lets you change direction; boons start with increased levels.	1 moss and 5 poppies

Aspects of the Black Coat

Aspect	Description	Unlock cost
Melinoë	Your attacks, sprint, and move speed are faster.	Unlocked by default
Selene	You start with Sky Fall, a hidden Hex that strikes multiple foes and applies Shine.	4 silver and 4 moon dust
Nyx	You have Ω boost, which lets you produce Nightspawn after you activate it.	4 flux and 1 darkness
