I built a VHS room in the browser: pull a tape off the shelf, put it in the VCR, watch it on a CRT

Solo project, in beta. It’s my own VHS collection in a little 3D room: browse the shelves, pull a tape out, flip the box over, and slide it into the VCR to watch on the CRT (or go full screen).

The films stream from the Internet Archive; nothing is hosted on the site. Also shows rich details about the movies.

Desktop only for now (it needs a mouse and a bigger screen). You can look around as a guest. Right now it’s just my room. If people would like their own, with their own tapes, posters and trinkets (golden idol from Indy 1), I’ll open up accounts.

Feedback very welcome. Link: https://danysvideo.app/guest
