Legendary American musician Tommy James has been forced to cancel a concert mid-show due to ”exhaustion.”
James, 77, known for his solo work and work with his rock band Tommy James and the Shondells, was performing in Las Vegas on Friday evening at the Golden Nugget Hotel & Casino when he struggled on stage and reportedly stopped performing.
His representative told People he had suffered “exhaustion from a long flight, sound check and the show all in one day”.

The representative added that the rocker “is fine now” and back in New Jersey.
His manager added to the Las Vegas Review Journal that he suffered “total exhaustion” due to his busy schedule that day and having been up since 3am in the morning “New York time”.
The publication reports that the musician stopped performing while singing the track Do Something To Me, according to audience members, and was breathing “heavily”.

He reportedly received treatment “on-site” before heading home.
Following the incident, he shared a post on his official Instagram account to mark International Women’s Day, but nothing else has been shared about halting the concert.
His next show, according to his official website, is March 15 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on March 15.

He has a series of show dates across the US until March 28, 2026. City stops include Flordia, Texas and Washington.
James, who hails from Ohio, formed Tommy James and the Shondells back in 1964.
Hits include Hanky Panky, Mony Mony and I Think We’re Alone Now.

The group received an honour and in 2006 were inducted into the Michigan Rock and Roll Legends.
He is now a radio host as well as a musician, hosting Sirius XM’s ’60s Gold show every Sunday.
According to his website, he has had more than 100million record sales, his music has even featured in soundtracks for films including The Italian Job and Forrest Gump.
