Dominique Thorne is finally making her return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe! A description of new footage for Ironheart has been revealed alongside a release window for the series.
Ironheart has been one of the most perplexing Disney Plus shows Marvel has announced. Despite the project finishing production in 2022, the show still hasn’t been released on the streaming service. This has led many to wonder if Dominique Throne’s first solo project in the MCU has been plagued with post-production problems, or simply lacks quality more than what Marvel has already released.
The tide seems to be turning for Ironheart. During its recent Upfronts presentation, Marvel revealed that the series will premiere on Disney Plus sometime in 2025, declining to give a solid release window within the year. This will be one of two MCU shows releasing next year, the other being Daredevil: Born Again.
Ironheart Footage Teases A New Beginning
Along with a release window, a bit of footage from Ironheart was also displayed by Marvel, with a description being released by IGN. The short teaser shows Dominique Thorne’s character struggling to build her new suit. In an attempt to complete it, Riri Williams steals parts from MIT, leading to her getting kicked off campus.
While Riri Williams will continue to forge her own path in Ironheart, it won’t all be smooth sailing. Dominique Thorne faces off against Anthony Ramos in the Disney Plus series, who plays the villain simply known as The Hood. The project seems to be putting mind against magic in the MCU, a combination which is sure to thrill fans when it finally drops!
