One of Taylor Sheridan’s biggest blossoming stars has responded to some major DCU casting rumors. Featuring in the recurring role of Spencer Dutton in 1923 is Brandon Sklenar, who has also been one of the names thrown around by fans to play Batman in James Gunn’s DCU. The new Batman will make his DCU debut in The Brave and the Bold, which currently does not have a release date, and although Gunn has confirmed that casting for the film has not yet begun, fans have still proclaimed that Sklenar would be the perfect choice for the new Dark Knight. During a recent interview with ScreenRant to promote his upcoming film, Drop, Sklenar was asked for his thoughts on being one of the leading choices by fans to play Batman:
“I mean, for Batman? [laughs] Let’s keep running with that! That’s something I’ve wanted to do since I was a little kid — and I’ve never even talked about it — It just started happening, and I was like, “This is cool!” And now, maybe, hopefully, it happens one day. I’d love to do it. It’s literally a childhood dream to do something like that, specifically that character. If I [were] ever to do any type of thing in the superhero space, that’s what it would be.”
