Shane Warne’s son Jackson Warne has opened up about his father’s shock death and revealed how he found out the sad news.
Speaking to The Herald Sun, Jackson, 26, said he was with family including with his mother Simone Callahan and sister Brooke when his father’s manager called.
Cricket legend Shane died on March 4, 2022, in Ko Samui, Thailand, at the age of 52, following a suspected heart attack.

“Worst phone call of my life,” Jackson said.
“…It was in two separate phone calls – the first phone call was he’s had a heart attack, it was a massive heart attack and we’re trying to see what we can do.”
Jackson said the news broke of what happened to Shane and he soon had messages from people after the first call.
“I found out at the same time as the rest of the world,” he said.

Jackson recently discussed his father’s death to Today Extra and spoke about how he focused on his health and fitness and created a social club called Saint in Melbourne for workouts and wellness.
He said he knows his father would be very “proud” of him.

“I think he’d be really proud of me, of how healthy I’ve now become and I think he would also be proud of the things I’m doing daily as well, whether it be getting up earlier, making sure my relationships are good, always being honest, I think it’d be very proud,” Jackson said.

Days after his father’s death, Jackson shared a heartbreaking tribute to his father and wrote: “To my brother, my best friend, to my Dad, I love you so much. I don’t think anything is ever going to fill the void you have left in my heart.”
“…I wish I could look you in the eyes 1 more time and give you one more hug. You were truly the best father and bestmate anyone could’ve asked for. I love you so much Dad, see you soon. ❤️”
