Jaden Smith is headed to Paris! Christian Louboutin has appointed Jaden Smith as its first men’s Creative Director, marking a dramatic and forward-thinking chapter for the iconic red-soled brand.
The announcement, made Tuesday morning from the brand’s Paris headquarters, signals a generational shift for Louboutin.
At just 27, Jaden Smith– son of actor Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith– has long been known for blurring the lines between music, film, fashion, and activism. His fearless approach to personal style– fluid, futuristic, and unapologetically experimental– has made him a fixture at global fashion weeks and on the front rows of luxury shows. Now, as the newly minted creative lead of Christian Louboutin, he will be moving to Paris and tasked with reimagining one of the world’s most revered luxury brands.

“Jaden represents the bold, boundary less spirit that Christian Louboutin has always embodied,” said the brand in an official statement. “His vision will honor our legacy while pushing us into unexplored territory.”
Smith told WWD, “This is the one of the biggest honors of my life, and I feel a lot of pressure to be able to live up to everything that Christian has done for the house, and also stepping into such a serious role,” Smith told WWD over Teams from Los Angeles. “When he reached out to me, I was just blown away, because of how similar we are and how much we like to do things in a similar manner.
Christian Louboutin, founded in 1991 and renowned for its signature red lacquered soles, has traditionally epitomized Parisian glamour and high-octane femininity. Under Smith’s direction, the brand is expected to broaden its creative scope, leaning further into gender-fluid silhouettes, streetwear-inflected luxury, and tech-forward design.
Industry insiders speculate that Smith’s first collection will debut during Paris Fashion Week next spring, with an emphasis on sustainability and digital-first activations, two pillars he has championed throughout his career.
The appointment is also a savvy cultural move for Louboutin, whose sales have increasingly skewed younger, especially in the U.S. Smith’s celebrity cachet and deep connections across music, film, and youth culture position him as an ideal figurehead to draw Gen Z and millennial consumers more deeply into the brand’s orbit.
