James Van Der Beek and his wife Kimberly had the most heartwarming vow renewal ceremony before he passed.
Just days before the Dawson’s Creek alum sadly passed away on February 11, he and his beloved shared an intimate ceremony in their bedroom.

According to what Kimberly told People on Tuesday, she and her husband were absolutely spoiled by their friends and family who went out of their way to set this up for them:
“We decided two days beforehand and our friends got us new rings, filled our bedroom with flowers and candles and we renewed our vows from bed.”
She called the ceremony “simple and beautiful and moving,” revealing their longtime pal Poranguí — who’s an incredibly talented instrumentalist — came over and played the “most beautiful music”. He even played Somewhere Over The Rainbow to close the ceremony, while lots of their pals watched over Zoom.

Before James tragically lost his battle to colorectal cancer, he and Kimberly had been married for fifteen years. They share six children.
Such a tear-jerking story, but what a beautiful memory Kimberly will get to carry with her! Our heart goes out to her and their children.
