Jane Seymour showcased her youthful glow when she shared a glimpse into her 75th birthday celebration with her close friends on Thursday.
The Dr Quinn, Medicine Woman actress took to Instagram to share a clip taken from the special night, which saw a crowd of people singing “Happy Birthday” to her as a cake was brought out.
In the background, her partner, John Zambetti, could be seen playing guitar and accompanying the crowd as they sang to Jane. She sported a stylish red wrap dress for the occasion and made a wish before struggling to blow her candles out. “You’re all in my wish!” she said to her friends, before quipping: “My first wish will be for better lungs.”
“Blowing out the candles and feeling incredibly grateful for another year and all of you,” Jane wrote in the caption, as her legion of fans wished her a happy birthday in the comment section. The mother of six’s birthday was actually on February 15, yet she has celebrated the milestone on several occasions with friends and family.
“When my family are all back from their travels, we’re all getting together for lunch. So that would be my twins, John and Kris, and their wives, and my daughter Katie Flynn and [son] Sean Flynn, and possibly Jenni Flynn and the grandchildren,” she told People.
“And then in the summer, when my sisters and all the cousins and babies arrive, we’re going to have a gathering – I hope – in the beginning of August,” she added. “So I will have absolutely celebrated my birthday for the whole year.”
Jane shared with HELLO! that she maintains her youthful glow by taking care of her skin and using SPF every day.
“I’ll use an over-the-counter retinol product. But the basics of skincare have always been so important to me. It’s exfoliating, cleansing and moisturizing. I have friends who go to sleep with a full face of makeup on, and that is a big no-no for me,” she explained.
“I protect my skin from the sun and have regular visits with a dermatologist. I wear a big hat, and I keep my hair out of the sun, too, if I can. I don’t sit out in direct sunlight either.”
The former Bond girl is also an avid fan of working out and ensures that she maintains her health however she can. “When I have time to do it…I do Pilates and Gyrotonics, and I also do a special workout they call The Perfect Workout…which is very, very slow weightlifting,” she told Closer.
“[It’s] very, very slow. You only do 20 minutes twice a week. I notice a huge difference when I do it. Each exercise you do, you do it to fatigue so your whole body starts shaking.”
Jane added that Pilates is her favorite workout, and something she has been doing since the ’70s. “I do it as often as I can. I have a machine at home…when I’m not filming, and I have time, I do it at least twice a week,” she said.
